HDS cloud platform allows your business to reduce the number of payment terminals it requires. It does this by sending the payment to the customer’s own mobile device through a QR code or secure link. The customer-facing screen is an option but not essential. The same details will be displayed on the EPOS that can be scanned from the server’s tablet.

The customer-facing screen doesn’t need to be attached either. It can be remote and mounted separately to the till point.

Need to enter a value for an item that isn’t an item in the EPOS? No bother, simply add it as a miscellaneous item. It can be for anything at any value. Little more to say on this feature.

Developed for our busy fast-paced bars to turn drinks quicker. Providing quick action buttons means that the staff can use the system quickly. £5, £10, £20 or manual are the options available. Only the values above the amount of the grand total will display. Manual allows non-integrated payment terminals to be pushed through the EPOS.

ORDER GROUPING

Classify items as starter, mains or desserts

Whether a busy little cafe, trendy London restaurant or a hotel, your team need to be able to classify the order into various categories. The defaults are starters, mains and desserts but HDS cloud platform allows your business to take control of all aspects. Grouping dishes means your kitchen can prioritise the order in which they prepare the food. Add a cloud printer into the mix and all of a sudden you have a very slick EPOS ordering platform that is designed to speed up processes and reduce mistakes.

QR CODE PAYMENTS

Transfer payments to the customers device

HDS cloud platform has a party trick. It can take a payment off anyone even if your customer doesn’t have a payment method on them! Ask yourself, can my current EPOS do this? The answer will be no. HDS cloud platform will generate a QR code for the payment on the fly which can then be sent to a remote customer-facing screen.

The customer can then scan this QR code with their camera on a smartphone or tablet. This will load our app-less mobile payment solution which is fully integrated within the EPOS. HDS cloud platform was the first of its kind to have a purpose-built EPOS and mobile ordering platform in one solution.

We have to be able to take positives out of what Covid has done and one of the biggest success stories is the humble QR code. It now has a purpose, everyone knows how to use them and virtually all smartphones can read them. Hospitality Digital Services were one of three companies globally to launch an app-less verison. Payments by account is a FREE module that we can enable so a business can create accounts with cost codes. This allows your customers to be able to assign orders to a cost centre which can be paid at a later date. Anything paid by cost centre is reportable in the end of day routine and all the reporting.

Self-serve is where we are at in 2022. We have found the middle ground between mobile ordering and EPOS.  18-34 years is the target sweet spot for mobile ordering but over 70% of your customers would prefer to self serve from a digital order board. With an integrated payment terminal and contactless payments through a digital wallet, it is the logical next step for many service providers.

Charge orders to bedrooms through mobile ordering

Fixing the pain points of delivering room service is where HDS started. Understanding what it takes to facilitate ordering, processing and communication around the order. HDS cloud platform also allows customers who have booked a room, to save the orders to their account. The solution creates a tab based on their room number. This can then be paid for on checkout.

Integrations are also possible with PMS solutions so this process is automatically controlled.

COLOUR CODING

Colour your categories to identify options easily.

The brain finds items quicker if you give them a colour. Within our EPOS you can set the colours you want for each category. Items within the category are coloured the same. This allows your staff to quickly go to a section. Works really well in a busy bar and a location where you are turning orders quickly.

SECURE PAYMENT LINK

Take a payment from anywhere for any value.

Our EPOS also allows your business to take payment through the system of any amount for anything. The payment is tracked, secured and time-limited. 24 hours is the limit for access and then 1 hour for payment. After this time the link is destroyed and a new link will need to be generated.

All sales through the secure link process are also reportable through our sales dashboard.

If your business is utilising tabs and room service, this payment can also be transferred to a secure link which allows them to be paid from anywhere by anyone from anydevice.

EAT IN / OUT

Track your sales easily by type.

The Eat-in or Eat-out toggle allows the transaction to be quickly and easily marked before completion. The data is then tracked for reporting and VAT purposes.
